Wales Harp Festgival - 2017

Elinor Bennett, Director of the Wales Harp Festival. giving an introduction to some of this year's exciting events during the Wales Harp Festival.


Patagonia 2015

To mark the 150th anniversary of ‘Y Wladfa’ the Welsh settlement in Patagonia, Elinor Bennett performed on St David’s Day, and delivered one of two harps to the children Ysgol Meithrin Trelew.


Etude De Concert (Marcel Tournier)

In 1916, HRH Prince Chudadhuj, a student at Cambridge University, purchased an Erard-style gold harp and brought it back to Thailand. It was the country’s first harp. To celebrate the centenary of the Chudadhuj Harp, Tamnak Prathom Harp Centre presented the “Golden Music for the Golden Harp” concert at Siam Society, Bangkok, on July 17, 2015 . Elinor Bennett, foremost teacher and harpist from Wales, performed music from the golden age of the harp on this historic instrument . This is a performance of "Etude de Concert - Au Matin" by Marcel Tournier.
